HELLO SHRI RAAM, WELCOME TO WORLDAUTHORS.ORG! WHAT ARE THE 5 THINGS YOU CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT?
The first and most precious thing I can’t live without is definitely my dog, Milo. He’s my furry little buddy, always by my side—whether I’m having meetings online from home, grabbing a late-night snack, or tackling assignments. His presence means the world to me, and I love him to the moon and back, times a trillion.
Next up is my phone. It’s essential for everything in today’s world, so it’s an obvious must-have. Then there’s my computer, which is crucial for school and all my work. I also can’t forget my AirPods—they’re a game-changer especially for training at the gym or keeping me entertained during a long ride.
For breakfast, fun fact, I usually have this specific honey granola that I can’t get enough of—it’s absolutely delicious and the perfect start to my morning. It’s even better when paired with my usual black coffee. The combination of these 2 creates the perfect balance and never fails to brighten up my day.
My fifth item would be my signature cologne from a secret brand. I’m not revealing it because, as they say, a magician never reveals his secret!
Finally, to complete my outfit, I prefer accessorizing with rings and sometimes a bracelet to get the perfect fit check.
IS THERE AN ARTIST YOU CAN’T STOP LISTENING TO ON REPEAT? WHAT DRAWS YOU TO THEIR MUSIC?
Yes, if you don’t know me, I like Justin Bieber. He’s one of the most talented artists out there, and the energy in his music is just amazing. It’s inspiring to see how he connects with his fans through his songs. Besides, his ability to consistently create hits is incredible—it really shows his dedication and love for his craft. He’s just an amazing singer, and I can’t get enough of his music, whether it’s from the ‘Purpose’ album or the ‘Justice’ album. I’m all ears every time he drops new music.
HAS ANY PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP OR CONNECTION INFLUENCED THE WAY YOU APPROACH YOUR MUSIC OR CREATIVITY?
Absolutely. I believe that the people we meet along the way—whether they’re family, friends, or even brief encounters—teach us something valuable. Each connection brings its own lesson, and those lessons shape the way we see the world and approach our creativity. For me, I try to take something positive away from everyone I meet, even when things don’t go as planned.
Sometimes, heartbreak or love can be intense emotions to process, but I believe in channelling them into something uplifting. Instead of letting difficult moments define me, I focus on how they can inspire creativity, whether it’s through music or a simple shift in perspective. Every experience, good or bad, helps me grow, and I think that’s what allows me to connect more deeply with listeners—by turning ideas or feelings into something beautiful.
BALANCING AN INTENSE PURSUIT LIKE AN MBA WITH A MUSIC CAREER IS NO SMALL FEAT. HOW DO YOU MANAGE TO STAY FOCUSED AND MOTIVATED ACROSS BOTH, AND WHAT STRATEGIES HAVE YOU DEVELOPED TO ENSURE YOU’RE GIVING YOUR BEST TO BOTH WORLDS?
Balancing my MBA and music career surely comes with its challenges, but I see it as an opportunity to grow and push my limits. It’s all about finding the right balance and staying focused on the bigger picture. Personally, I stay organized by having a structured routine and setting clear goals for both school and music. I break those goals down into smaller, achievable tasks, which helps me stay on track without feeling overwhelmed.
Staying productive is all about understanding the purpose behind doing both. My studies help me develop valuable skills—like networking, management, marketing, and leadership. At the same time, music fuels my creativity and keeps me connected to my passion for it.
Mainly, it’s important to take time to stay positive. When things get intense, I take a step back and refocus. The key is to see both pursuits as part of a bigger journey—each one supporting my growth. Both allow me to give my best to each world, and I’m glad to be moving forward with all the lessons I’m learning along the way.
WHAT’S ONE HABIT OR DAILY RITUAL YOU’VE ADOPTED THAT’S BECOME A GAME-CHANGER FOR YOUR PERSONAL GROWTH, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO MAKING YOUR MUSIC OR STAYING PRODUCTIVE WITH YOUR CREATIVE IDEAS AND STUDIES?
A game-changer for me has been starting my day with a moment of mindfulness, whether it’s journaling, meditating, or simply having a quiet cup of coffee. It helps me clear my mind and set a positive tone for the day. I also make it a habit to plan my day the night before by jotting down important tasks or errands I need to complete. This helps me stay organized and manage my time effectively. Another key habit is not using my phone for the first hour after waking up. This gives me space to focus on my priorities, without getting distracted by notifications. Not jumping straight into my phone allows me to start my day with a clear mind and more intentional focus. Blocking out specific time for both my music and studies ensures I stay focused, productive, and creative without feeling overwhelmed.
LOOKING BACK ON THE PAST YEAR OF YOUR MUSIC JOURNEY, WHAT’S BEEN THE MOST UNFORGETTABLE MOMENT OR MILESTONE THAT’S SHAPED YOUR CAREER SO FAR?
Looking back on the past year of my music journey, I’m beyond grateful for all the amazing opportunities that have come my way. Before my debut single ‘a fool for love’ even dropped, I had the chance to be featured on several sites like Astro, Varnam, and Mannin Mainthan, which was an honor. Then, just a week before my valentine’s release ‘do me a favor’, I got to perform and do an interview on national TV for the FreshBrew program on RTM— it was a surreal experience! After releasing my summer single ‘wanna be yours’, I was fortunate enough to be interviewed on AFO Radio, a local station that really made me feel welcomed. A couple of months ago, I was featured on World of Buzz, and more recently, I was humbled to be featured on Vents Magazine and About Insider in the US. I’m thankful for these moments and for the support that’s been guiding me along the way.
AS WE WRAP UP, WHAT’S ONE MESSAGE YOU’D LIKE TO LEAVE WITH YOUR LISTENERS AND OUR READERS AS YOU CONTINUE THIS JOURNEY IN MUSIC?
Well, we live in a world today with all kinds of people—some who lift us up and some who may bring us down. But through it all, I believe that we should stay true to ourselves and our values. My message is simple: let’s spread love, not hate. By focusing on kindness and understanding, we can make this world a better place. So, let’s lift each other up and leave the negativity behind.
